Protect the Environment • Hands-On Work • Essential Industry Looking for meaningful work that helps protect public health and the environment? Join our team as a WWTP Operator and help operate and maintain systems that safely treat wastewater for the communities we serve. Primary Accountability - Responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plant ("WWTP") equipment and devices. What You'll Do Operate and monitor wastewater treatment plant systems and equipment Read and record plant data from meters, gauges, and control systems Regulate the flow of wastewater, sludge, and air through treatment processes Conduct process sampling and basic lab testing Inspect equipment and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs Maintain plant facilities and grounds Troubleshoot operational issues and respond to alarms or emergencies Maintain operational logs and reports Why Join Us Help protect public health and the environment Stable career in an essential industry Work with a team that values safety, professionalism, and teamwork Opportunities for training and advancement
Requirements:
What We're Looking For Experience in wastewater treatment, utilities, or plant operations preferred Safety-focused and comfortable working in an industrial plant environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer and recordkeeping skills Strong attention to detail and process monitoring Basic Requirements Valid Hawaii Driver's License High School Diploma or GED State of Hawaii Grade II WWTP Operator License preferred Knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operations, collection systems, sampling, lab testing, equipment operation, maintenance, and safety practices. Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work shift schedules, weekends, or holidays if needed Pay & Incentives $29.10 - $34.87 per hour Annual incentive bonus with an earning potential of up to 10% of base pay. Interested?
