Sign-On Bonus Offered! Waste Solutions of Iowa (WSI) is looking for a Hood Cleaning Supervisor to join our growing team! This position involves supervising crews while cleaning commercial kitchen exhaust systems and ensuring compliance with safety and fire prevention regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently manage jobs during night shifts. Previous hood cleaning, pressure washing, HVAC, mechanical, or supervisory experience is preferred. Description Core Responsibilities:
This job requires the ability to work evening and overnight hours due to customer requirements. Lead and supervise hood cleaning crews to ensure quality work and safe jobsite practices. Set up and take down cleaning equipment, including ladders, plastic sheeting, chemical solutions, vacuums, and high-pressure hoses. Scrape grease buildup from exhaust hoods, fans, and ducts. Use pressure-washing equipment to thoroughly clean kitchen exhaust systems. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with industry safety standards and fire prevention regulations. Train and mentor technicians on proper cleaning procedures and company policies. Conduct final quality inspections and ensure customer satisfaction. Take before-and-after digital photos of completed work for documentation. Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or customer concerns to management. Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles, tools, and equipment. Always adhere to company policies and safety procedures.Qualifications & Requirements:
Current Valid Driver's License Reliable transportation to and from WSI's central office location in Des Moines Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record Check (clean driving record preferred) Ability to drive a company vehicle, including pulling a small trailer to job sites Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check Previous hood cleaning or related industry experience preferred Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in tight spaces Comfortable working in various conditions (hot, cold, humid, greasy, etc.) Availability to work nights, early mornings, and some weekends Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Professional appearance, integrity, and strong work ethicWhat We Offer:
