- Full-time Sanitation Supervisor C&F Packing Company Position Summary The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for leading all sanitation operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and regulatory compliance across the facility.
This role oversees sanitation teams, enforces food safety programs, and ensures compliance with federal, state, customer, and third-party audit requirements while supporting efficient plant operations. Key Responsibilities Sanitation Leadership & Operations Direct and manage all sanitation activities for food contact surfaces, equipment, and facility grounds. Plan, organize, and supervise sanitation shift activities to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective completion. Lead, train, and develop sanitation employees and/or third-party sanitation crews. Ensure a smooth transition and start-up between sanitation and production shifts. Maintain facility standards for housekeeping, cleanliness, and safety at all times. Food Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all food safety programs including GMPs, HACCP, and SSOPs . Maintain understanding and enforcement of the company's Food Safety & Quality Policy and Food Safety Goals . Ensure the facility meets all CFR regulations, audit requirements, and customer standards . Conduct daily sanitation inspections and audits; correct any deficiencies immediately. Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping of sanitation activities to meet regulatory and audit standards. Support audit readiness and participate in internal and external audits. Chemical Handling & Safety Monitor and control the proper storage, inventory, and use of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals. Ensure chemicals are securely stored and only approved products are used, including organic-approved chemicals where applicable. Enforce safe handling procedures in accordance with GMPs, SOPs, and company safety standards. Report and address safety concerns promptly, including emergency preparedness and hazard response. Team Leadership & Performance Management Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations for sanitation staff. Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity. Ensure all sanitation personnel are properly trained in sanitation procedures and food safety standards. Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the sanitation team. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Quality Assurance, Production, and Maintenance teams to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Communicate sanitation issues, deviations, and downtime impacts to management in a timely manner. Coordinate sanitation schedules and priorities with plant leadership. Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation Maintain accurate records including sanitation logs, chemical inventories, and inspection reports. Track and report downtime or deficiencies found during pre-operational inspections. Complete required reports and documentation as required by the Director of Quality Assurance. Work Schedule Monday

- 6:00 AM SOME Saturdays required Qualifications & Requirements 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food processing.
Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety principles, and regulatory requirements. Experience with HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, and audit compliance . Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret data. Excellent communication and leadership skills across all organizational levels. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to organize, track, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines. Additional Expectations Demonstrate a strong commitment to food safety, quality, and workplace safety. Regular and reliable attendance is required. Ability to identify improvement opportunities and take initiative in maintaining sanitation excellence. Maintain compliance with all company policies, SOPs, and safety procedures.
