Wastewater Treatment Technician

Dana Container, a Dana Company, is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Technician to join our team. This position supports our railyard and tank wash facility by operating the wastewater pretreatment system•including the Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) unit•to ensure that all wash-water generated during tank cleaning is treated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental discharge regulations. The technician will monitor water quality, adjust chemical feeds, maintain equipment, and help keep the facility in compliance with all permitting requirements. Key Responsibilities of the

Wastewater Treatment Technician:

Run and monitor the DAF unit (air compressors, pumps, skimmers, chemical dosing) Test influent and effluent water (pH, TSS, COD/BOD, oils & grease) Adjust chemical feeds (coagulants, flocculants, pH control) Clean and maintain tanks, pumps, and filters Keep daily logs and discharge records for compliance Coordinate with environmental or safety managers on reporting Qualifications of the

Wastewater Treatment Technician:

High school diploma or GED required Understanding of DAF and pretreatment processes required Familiarity with environmental compliance regulations (EPA, NPDES, POTW discharge limits) required Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills required OSHA 10 or OSHA General Industry training a plus

HAZWOPER

24-hour or 40-hour certification a plus Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and able to work in wet and outdoor environments Must pass a pre-employment background check and non-DOT drug screening Schedule & Work Location of the
