Job Description

Job Summary Vicor is an American manufacturer of advanced 48V centric DC-DC converters with industry-leading power and current density, enabling breakthrough power delivery performance. As an engineering-focused company, we provide an opportunity to work with some of the most advanced manufacturing processes in the world to assemble the power modules that drive key advancements in AI, electric vehicles, and aerospace. Vicor is expanding to vertically integrate core printed circuit board operations. The expanded area includes a state of the art wastewater recycle/DI water regeneration system. We are seeking candidates to be responsible for the daily operation and preventative maintenance of the Waste Treatment area. This role will require the candidate to learn to operate and maintain a wide variety of industrial wastewater treatment equipment at Vicor's facility located in Andover, MA. This is an opening on 2nd shift with the hours of Tuesday - Saturday 3:00PM - 11:00PM.
Job Description Responsibilities:
Primary Waste Treatment Equipment:
Plate and frame filter press Batch Treatment / pH adjustment Vacuum evaporators Granular activated carbon columns Ion exchange columns Reverse osmosis membrane skids Ozone generator pH adjustment system with acids and bases Wet scrubber
Associated Waste Treatment Equipment:
Air diaphragm pumps Centrifugal pumps Chemical metering pumps Pneumatically actuated valves Manual valves Heat exchangers UV lamps Specifically responsible for (in each focus area): Daily operation and preventative maintenance of equipment handling waste streams that isolate; heavy metals, organic films, salts, and regenerated DI water Hands-on material handling; moving chemical totes/drums (strong acids and bases) and waste streams with a forklift and pallet-jack Safely performing job duties using the appropriate PPE and techniques Operating PLC control panels with HMI touchscreen in accordance with SOP and PMP Maintaining log sheets of set points/parameters for data analysis and record-keeping Gaining an overall understanding of process flow and equipment to perform minor troubleshooting Education / Qualifications Relevant technical degree or hands-on work experience with industrial fluid flow systems Experience working with a variety of pumps and valves Experience with basic hand and power tools Experience following standard operating procedures and providing useful feedback to make improvements Must be comfortable handling drums and totes of strong acids and bases, as well as other chemicals Hazmat training and experience with PPE Must be willing to occasionally work overtime in urgent situations Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast-paced environment Experience with electrical troubleshooting using a multimeter is a plus All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.

$22.50 - $30.00/hour There is a 12.5% shift differential for 2nd shift. Please note: This range is based on our current market driven pay structures. Individual salaries are determined based upon a variety of factors including but not limited to, a candidates overall qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience as well as company internal equity.
