Job Description

Our company, Alcon Excavating, Inc., is looking to hire an experienced water and sewer construction foreman. We take great pride here at AE and it shows in everything we do. The foreman manages the daily site activities for earthwork and utility projects by ensuring the project is constructed in accordance with safety, design, budget, and schedule. The foreman directly manages crew personnel and staff on each project site. This is a full time position. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Producing work, sequencing and assigning tasks, supervising the crew, and handling customer interactions Ability to communicate, teach your crew, encourage and foster our company culture. Must have knowledge in sewer main installation with manholes, DIP water mains, drainage and drainage structures Guide crew with fittings and valve installations Test systems for leaks and other issues Proficient and experienced heavy equipment operator who can run equipement while leading a crew Must read plans, set grades, layout and installation of all site aspects Ability to keep up with daily paperwork Must have experience with grade lasers and pipe lasers Machine control and GPS experience is a plus Assist in job costing Project scheduling, planning ahead and plan is communicated to the crew Managing work site with crews to bring in job on time and on budget Maintain OSHA Safety standards Organize with crew what materials needed for project; order materials as needed Identify improvement opportunities and develop new systems to improve operations Ensure crew understands the scope of work and schedule Attend any and all meetings scheduled A valid driver's license. Great interpersonal and troubleshooting skills. Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
