We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as Waste & Wastewater Technician in Wendell, NC. The Waste & Wastewater Technician is responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures wastewater is processed inpliance with environmental and regulatory standards while supporting safe handling, collection, and disposal of hazardous materials. The technician works closely with Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) and production teams to maintain consistent operations and minimize risk. Responsibilities Operate and monitor the wastewater treatment system to ensure proper dischargepliance, including testing water samples and adjusting chemical treatment processes such as lime and other additives. Perform preventative maintenance on wastewater equipment, including pumps, valves, airpressors, and filter press systems. Maintain and manage the hazardous waste accumulation area in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements. Collect liquid hazardous waste from primary and secondary production areas on a scheduled basis. Support EH&S with preparation, documentation, and coordination of hazardous waste shipments. Maintain accurate records related to wastewater treatment activities, waste collection, andpliance testing. Ensure wastewater treatment activities arepleted daily and waste is collected and processed in a timely manner. Follow all safety procedures and environmental guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Hands-on experience with wastewater treatment systems and hazardous waste handling. Familiarity with basic water chemistry and treatment processes. Wastewater certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures andpliance standards. Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Basic mechanical aptitude and experience performing equipment maintenance. Strongmunication and documentation skills.BENEFITS
