Summary:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in duties concerned with sanitation programs in food processing establishment by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the work of porters and pot washers during assigned shifts
  • Ensure all pots, pans, trays, utensils, kitchen equipment, and airline equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and stored correctly
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the facility to include but not limited to; all dishwashing areas, drains, mop stations, sinks, bathrooms, offices, changing rooms and surrounding kitchen zones
  • Enforce compliance with company sanitation protocols and health and safety regulations.
  • Train new porter staff on cleaning procedures, chemical safety, PPE usage, and equipment handling
  • Conduct regular inspections of work areas, equipment, and cleaning stations to ensure safety and cleanliness
  • Support deep cleaning projects and sanitation tasks in coordination with QA and Production
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies, PPE, and chemicals are properly stocked, labeled, and used according to SDS guidelines
  • Assist in creating and updating cleaning schedules and sanitation standards.
  • Report maintenance needs or equipment malfunctions to the FSQ Manager and Maintenance Department
  • Address performance or attendance issues among porter staff in coordination with HR or management

Must possess a basic understanding of food borne pathogens and how cleaning and sanitizing minimize this risk Required to know what the Material Data Safety Sheets (MSDS) are and how to use them Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.? Ability to communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments.? Reliable attendance and punctuality. Able to work in refrigerated environments (cold rooms). Excellent time management and communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
