Job Description
The Town of Webster is seeking a 3A or higher licensed wastewater treatment plant operator to become its new Assistant Chief WWTPO. This is a supervisory and technical position which involves assisting the Chief WWTPO in the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of a Type 4A wastewater treatment plant utilizing an activated sludge process. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Chief Operator with considerable leeway allowed for exercise of independent judgement. Direct supervision is exercised over operators, trainees, laboratory staff, and other plant personnel. The Assistant Chief Operator acts for and in place of the Chief Operator in their absence or as otherwise assigned.
