Job Description
Job Summary The Sanitation Supervisor role will provide assistance to the Sanitation Site Manager. The employee will also use a variety of chemicals and sanitation equipment to clean and sanitize food processing equipment. Essential Functions Provide assistance to the Site Manager in the management of the sanitation process and team members. Ensure aisle ways and raw material storage area swept and trash cans dumped. Handle chemicals used in the process of cleaning and sanitation by following safety procedures. Maintain and proper use of equipment. Ensure team members are following GMPs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) Complete all daily paperwork required. Remove all debris from machinery, floors, and contact points prior to cleaning. Pre-rinse machinery and contact surfaces. Foam scrub and rinse the entire processing room (i.e., walls, floors, food contact surfaces, equipment) prior to sanitizing. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications Must be 25 years of age or older. Must have reliable transportation. Previous food plant sanitation experience a plus. Detail-oriented. Able to follow verbal and written communication skills. Desire to work as a team player and ability to work independently. Time management skills. Bilingual speaking is a plus. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday, 10:00 pm - 6:00 am. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to operate and use all necessary equipment. Education & Experience Experience in food plant sanitation is preferred. At least two years experience in a supervisory role at a Industrial cleaning facility experience is preferred. Sanitation experience is required. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience preferred but not required.
