Job Description

$25 - 35 per hourReference:
gmc waste1 Gpac is working with a client company in western Oh, who is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 1st Shift Wastewater Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in wastewater management and commitment to workplace safety.Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment (pumps, valves, filters, etc.) Perform daily inspections of the wastewater system and record operational data Collect water and sludge samples for laboratory testing and adjust treatment as necessary Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations Perform preventative maintenance and assist with repairs on treatment systems- Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports
- Work safely and comply with all company safety protocols and PPE requirements
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required 2-3 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment preferred- Valid Wastewater Certification
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read technical manuals and follow standard operating procedures
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PLC or SCADA systems
