Job Description

On-Site • Part-Time • 3 Days/WeekPart-Time Operator -
Hazardous Waste Groundwater Treatment Plant Pay:
$30.00- $40.00 per hour DOE Environmental Operations & Maintenance We're looking for a reliable, self-motivated Operator to support daily operations and maintenance at a hazardous waste groundwater treatment facility. This is a part-time role — 3 consecutive days per week — ideal for someone with industrial or mechanical experience who works well independently and takes pride in doing things right. No wastewater license required;

training can be obtained after hire. What you'll do Operate and monitor pumps, motors, control valves, and control panels Maintain operations logs, record meter/gauge readings, and document site conditions Collect water samples and perform routine lab tests; monitor well levels Handle chemical level monitoring, mixing, and oil/water separator transfers Perform routine calibration of instruments, weekly inspections, and basic maintenance Identify equipment issues, troubleshoot, and escalate to project management as needed What you need High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 40-hour
HAZWOPER
certification or ability to obtain after hire Ability to complete respirator fit test and enroll in medical monitoring program after hire Nice to have 5-10 years of industrial production or equipment operations experience Familiarity with treatment plant processes, instrumentation, or environmental field work
