Employment Type Full Time Application Start Date 07-21-2026 Application End Date 08-07-2026 Location Woodburn State/County OR/Marion Zip Code 97071 Country USA Work Style On-site Industry Government and military Category Operations Position Operation/plant management Experience 6 years Education Associate's degree Description Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager coordinates and supervises the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment, NPDES Permit, Bio-Solids management, water reuse system, 1200Z NPDES, and training programs for the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Collections system and lift stations. The treatment facility is an Oregon Class IV System and the Collection System is an Oregon Class III. The wastewater treatment plant provides primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment along with effluent reuse. Treated effluent is either discharged to the Pudding River or irrigated to a poplar tree reuse system. The City provides secondary wastewater treatment from November 1 to April 30 and tertiary treatment with reuse from May 1 to October 31, depending on receiving stream flow. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree in wastewater technology, and a minimum six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in level IV wastewater operations, including two (2) years of supervisory or lead experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Applicants must have a valid Oregon class C driver's license and the ability to meet the City of Woodburn's driving standards and pass the pre-employment background check. Level IV Oregon Wastewater Treatment Certification.
