Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. Your proactive approach will help maintain clean water systems that protect public health and the environment.

Friday:

7 AM to 4:30 PM, Emergency Call-outs as needed. Duties Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS), to ensure optimal plant performance. Perform routine inspections, data collection, and analysis of water quality parameters to maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Conduct equipment repairs, mechanical maintenance, plumbing tasks, and heavy equipment operation as needed to keep systems running smoothly. Manage heavy lifting tasks and operate tanker trucks for water transfer or waste removal activities. Assist in construction projects related to plant upgrades or expansions, adhering to safety protocols. Collect samples, record data accurately, and generate reports for regulatory agencies and internal review. Perform routine maintenance on pumps, valves, filters, and other mechanical components to prevent downtime. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance. Familiarity with water treatment processes and wastewater treatment systems. Experience operating heavy equipment and performing construction-related tasks safely. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) used in industrial settings. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, dosage calculations, and data analysis. Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting system issues efficiently.
