Experience in the operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities and / or sanitary sewer collection systems is a plus. Schuylkill County Municipal Authority (SCMA) is seeking motivated applicants with experience in the operation and maintenance of sanitary sewer collection systems. Successful candidates will be working with pumping stations and individual customer grinder pumps, performing mechanical / electrical / control troubleshooting and repair, operating sewer jetting equipment and / or other industry related equipment. The Collection Maintenance Operator is responsible for a variety of tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of the wastewater systems. Duties include operating a variety of power-driven equipment and ensuring public health and safety by preventing and responding to overflows and blockages to ensure proper operation and compliance with all federal and state regulations. Hours of work are 8-hour day shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM) with on call, evening, weekend, and holiday work required. Qualified applicants must possess a High School Diploma and a valid PA Driver's License. PADEP Certified Wastewater License and experience in the wastewater maintenance field are preferred. Successful candidates must be safety oriented, self-motivated and have a positive mindset. These positions require on-call duties.
