Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
: Responsible for the execution of internal maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities in all water and wastewater treatment plants and related facilities. Coordinate with operations staff to administer routine maintenance procedures. Coordinate with maintenance staff and/or contractors to perform required repairs. Position requires standardization and documentation of maintenance activities. May participate and plan an active role in capital improvement projects. All work must be completed while maintaining compliance with all federal (EPA) and state (PADEP) regulations. Includes any additional tasks assigned by management.
Expected Hours of Work and Location:
This position is available on 8-hour shifts; day shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), with on call responsibilities. Evening, weekend, and holiday work occasionally required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Knowledge of chemical and physical processes involved in treatment Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, occupational hazards and safety precautions related to water/wastewater treatment Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic and various building trades as they relate to water/wastewater treatment facilities Experience and expertise in operations of water/wastewater treatment facilities Intermediate knowledge of SCADA, PLC's, and telemetry systems Intermediate math skills Computer knowledge and the ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other applications as required Ability to electronically file and organize documents Strong communication skills May be assigned to assist in other functions including but, not limited to snow/ice removal, grass mowing, trimming, and cleaning, painting, and general repairs on an as needed/ as assigned basis.
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE
• 2 years experience in a directly related field • High School diploma or equivalent
Licenses or Certifications:
PA DEP water and wastewater licensure preferred Possess a valid Driver's license.
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour
