About the Role As a Wastewater Systems Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of essential utility infrastructure. You will utilize your mechanical and electrical aptitude to maintain critical equipment, perform system diagnostics, and ensure environmental compliance through proactive site management. Responsibilities Execute precise line locates in accordance with regional utility safety guidelines to prevent infrastructure damage. Perform comprehensive inspections and routine maintenance on tanks, pumps, motors, and valves to maximize system uptime. Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, ensuring rapid response to service calls and operational disruptions. Monitor system telemetry, including meters and gauges, to maintain optimal flow and process balance. Document all maintenance activities and repairs to ensure accurate record-keeping and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with the maintenance team to support the ongoing health and expansion of collection systems. Conduct field visits to treatment sites, ensuring all mechanical and electrical components meet performance standards. Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude, including experience with 120/208/240/480 voltage systems. Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting, in diverse outdoor weather conditions. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues. Commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance. Preferred Skills Prior experience with decentralized wastewater collection and treatment systems. Possession of or ability to obtain a Wastewater Collection System license within the first year of employment. Customer-oriented mindset with a goal-driven approach to field service.
