63/ based on experience and qualifications . There is also certification pay for licenses higher than required for the position. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS THE TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR I

• WASTEWATER Sample, monitor, and perform testing required to maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process and storm water and sludge management.

Performs all work in conformance to Occupational Safety and Health Act Regulations. Collects wastewater plant samples and runs onsite lab testing per TCEQ regulations. Walks the plant to collect data from hour meters, physically check pumps for proper operation, start centrifuge for sludge processing, and look/find issues and address them. Performs maintenance on wastewater plant equipment and performs basin maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS

Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent. Requires two years wastewater operation or closely related experience.
