Job Description

The City of Roscoe is seeking a qualified Water/Wastewater Operator to join our Public Works team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and compliance of the City's water distribution and wastewater treatment systems. This is a full time position reporting to the City Manager. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain the City's water treatment and distribution system, including RO equipment Monitor system performance, collect samples, and conduct required water quality tests Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in compliance with TCEQ regulations Perform routine and emergency maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, and related equipment Respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in on call rotation as required Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all applicable safety regulations
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications Valid Texas Class C Water License (TCEQ) Reverse Osmosis (RO) Operator Certification High School diploma or GED equivalent Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening Preferred Qualifications Class B or higher Water License Wastewater treatment certification Experience with SCADA systems or automated water treatment equipment Prior municipal or utility operator experience
