Job Description
Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator (Levels I-IV) North Davis Sewer District Starting pay range is $25.13 per hour depending upon experience and certifications. This opening will remain open until filled.
NorthDavisSewer.gov. Applicants will be screened, and the most qualified will be invited to the next step, which may include a treatment plant tour, and a panel interview. Upon conditional offer, the candidate must successfully pass a background check and drug test. Salary will be determined based on experience. Position Overview:

Thorough knowledge of technical treatment plant equipment and machinery and its operation maintenance and repair; thorough knowledge of plant processes; thorough knowledge of hazards and precautions associated with plant operations and processes; thorough knowledge of plant policies and procedures; thorough knowledge of ordinances, laws, and regulations governing wastewater treatment and discharge promulgated by various State and Federal agencies; some knowledge of principles of supervision; working knowledge of laboratory procedures and the chemical and physical process involved in wastewater treatment. Ability to make process control decisions using laboratory data, facility reports, trends and plant process model.Benefits:

Use a variety of hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and shovels Repair and maintain sewer lines and manholes / or Monitor, maintain facility processes and equipment through sampling, observation, and instrumentation Respond to and participate in on-call emergency calls Operate vehicles in the performance of duties or to attend training programs Other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:
One (1) year of experience in utility or plant maintenance/underground construction and/or mechanical maintenance High school graduation or equivalent Ability to obtain Utah Grade II Wastewater Operator within the first eighteen (18) months of employment Ability to obtain a valid State of Utah Class B Commercial Driver's License with endorsements for air brakes and tank vehicle within 12 months of hirePhysical Demands:
May be exposed to wind, rain, cold temperatures, noxious odors, noise, gases, and potential contact with wastewater Ability to lift 70 pounds Treatment plant operator is required to work swing shiftApplication Process:
