About the Role As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will lead efforts to maintain a pristine, hazard-free production environment by overseeing rigorous cleaning protocols and food safety standards. You will play a critical role in mitigating biological and allergen risks while ensuring our facility consistently exceeds regulatory compliance and quality benchmarks. Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive sanitation schedules to ensure facility-wide hygiene and regulatory compliance. Lead and mentor the sanitation team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and operational excellence. Coordinate with production and maintenance departments to streamline cleaning processes and minimize downtime. Manage inventory for sanitation chemicals, specialized PPE, and cleaning equipment to ensure constant readiness. Drive continuous improvement by evaluating current sanitation protocols and implementing more effective, time-saving methods. Oversee the execution of daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation audits to maintain strict food safety standards. Collaborate with external vendors and chemical suppliers to optimize sanitation supplies and service agreements. Facilitate training sessions to ensure team consistency and technical proficiency in sanitation best practices. Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Prior experience in industrial sanitation or waste management environments. Strong understanding of hazardous materials handling and safety protocols. Proven ability to perform repetitive physical tasks with high attention to detail. Effective communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. Preferred Skills Previous experience in a food manufacturing or regulated production environment. Familiarity with HACCP, SQF, or similar food safety management systems. Experience in a leadership or team-coordination role. Knowledge of advanced cleaning technologies and chemical safety management.
