Job Description

Our company is looking for a skilled Welder/Fitter who has experience operating a welding machine and is comfortable with both manual and automated welding processes. The ideal candidate has practical experience in performing a broad range of tasks and can make detailed calculations on their own. Our Welder/Fitter is an essential part of the team, and we need a flexible, reliable employee who will respect our code of conduct and adhere to all safety standards. Welding is primarily FCAW-G to AISC and AWS standards. A qualified candidate should meet most of the preferred criteria below:
Responsibilities:
Fabricate and assemble components to exact specifications. Use hand tools, machines, and power tools to perform job duties. Read blueprints and schematics to plan work activities. Adjust to changes in work site conditions. Follow all applicable safety procedures. Attend and participate in company training sessions. Keep welding equipment in working order. Operate welding equipment with a high degree of skill. Always use personal protective equipment. Plan ahead to ensure that all work is completed on time
Qualifications:
Able to pass
AWS D1.1
Flux Cored 1" 3G & 4G plate test (required) Layout, fit, and or fabrication experience (required) Ability to read and interpret shop prints and welding procedures (required) Ability to complete projects independently (required) Pass Drug Test - (Marijuana not tested for) Ability to communicate discontinuities and defects accurately Experience with shop equipment; i.e.: Bandsaw, Ironworker, Brake, Shear, Overhead crane, etc. Forklift experience (preferred) GMAW, SMAW, and Tig experience (preferred) Line Bore experience (preferred) 5 years experience (preferred)

$36.00 - $42.00 per hour
