Job Description

Diversified Sourcing Solutions is seeking a skilled and reliable Welder with strong experience in both MIG (GMAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding processes. In this role, you will read prepare metal components, execute quality welds, and ensure structural integrity while adhering to strict shop safety guidelines. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG and Stick welding on metal parts and structural components according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings, schematics, and weld symbols.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, consumables, and hand/power tools (grinders, torches, sanders).
  • Inspect completed welds for fit, alignment, dimensional accuracy, and structural integrity; make repairs or touch-ups as required.
  • Clean and prepare workpiece surfaces (removing rust, scale, or slag) prior to welding.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work space.
  • Strictly follow standard operating procedures and OSHA safety rules, including wearing appropriate PPE (welding helmet, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, flame-retardant gear). Qualifications & Requirements
Experience:
1+ years of hands-on MIG and Stick welding experience in a manufacturing, job shop, or industrial setting.
    Skills:
    Proficient in reading blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
      Weld Test:
      Must be able to pass a pre-employment hands-on MIG and Stick weld test.
        Tools:
        Proficiency using angle grinders, plasma cutters, measuring tapes, and hand tools.
          Physical Requirements:
          Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift in a shop environment.
