Job Description

Position Summary The Fabricator/Welder makes, manufactures, repairs, and installs parts, components, and machinery in support of the main manufacturing process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Operate fab shop and machine shop machinery and equipment; read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements Fabricate and construct metal components. Set up and operate metalwork machinery including press brakes, welders, shears, iron workers, slip rolls, and drill presses. Interpret drawings and translate into finished products. Maintain shop equipment including preventative maintenance. Work closely with other team members to achieve desired results. Dynamically and creatively solve problems as they arise. Operate various lifting equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience performing various welding procedures. Experience setting up, operating, and maintaining various metalworking machines. Effectively prioritize tasks when presented with multiple assignments. Excellent time management skills. Ability to work in elevated positions. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Ability to endure hot and cold environments. Ability to think critically and problem-solve.
