Welder/Fabricator 29749 Ala Hwy 21, Sycamore, AL 35149

Full-time Full-time Responsibilities & Duties:

Making welds to meet specifications on prints, Producing strong penetrated welds the are smooth, non-porous, & consistent, Setting welding machine to proper voltage & wire speed for material being welded, Following required procedures, Using appropriate jigs & fixtures, and Keeping work area clean & orderly, Keeping tools & machines well maintained.

Qualifications and Skills:

Ability to read drawings & layouts, Ability to take drawings and layout jobs from start to finish with minimal or no supervision, TIG Welding experience with aluminum & stainless, MIG welding experience with aluminum & stainless, Great attention to detail & be very precise with work, Knowledge of welding processes & equipment, Ability to read tape measures, angle finders, blueprint drawings & AWS weld symbols, Ability to weld vertical, flat,& overhead with a good penetration & a quality weld, Physical ability to weld in awkward positions such as kneeling or lying down, Ability to operate acetylene torches, Math skills including metric system and angles, Ability to operate forklift, lift 50 pounds, and work from a ladder, Ability to pass background check & drug testing, and Must have reliable transportation.
