Job Description

Tooling Welder Position Summary The Tooling Welder is responsible for operating manual machines and performing welding repairs on die cast dies and equipment. This role includes light fabrication work and ensuring repaired components meet quality standards before returning to production. Key Responsibilities Perform welding repairs on die cast dies and equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick) Repair die breakouts and complete minor die maintenance Operate manual machines including lathes, mills, and drill presses Perform light fabrication work as needed Grind and finish welded components to required specifications Inspect and qualify parts after repair to ensure quality standards are met Read, complete, and document work orders Communicate effectively between shifts to ensure continuity of work Maintain a clean and organized work area Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Prior manufacturing or tool room experience preferred Welding experience required (MIG, TIG, Stick) Experience operating manual machining equipment preferred Basic math skills (geometry and trigonometry) Strong attention to detail and quality Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs Ability to stand, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment Ability to read, write, and communicate in
