What You Will Do:
The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Blender / Bench Mechanic for AWW shift operations (Fri-Sun, 6:00A to 6:30P). Shift earns 8 shift premium after training period. Employees are subject to train on first shift. First shift hours are 6:00 AM - 3:30PM Monday-Friday. This site employs 247. This position entails blending, smoothing, and deburring surfaces and performing assembly, disassembly, blast and cleaning operations on aerospace case parts as outlined in the work instructions to meet customer requirements. Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine work requirements on the part. Prepare parts for welding and/or machining by blending and deburring parts to written specifications. Set-up and operate machines including a selection of appropriate abrasive belt, wheel, or disk for blending and deburring. Inspect work on parts to verify conformance with these specifications. Complete required paperwork. Perform assembly, disassembly, blast, braze, sizing, heat treat, and cleaning operations as specified in the work instructions. Perform preventive maintenance of equipment within the scope of the role. Maintain clean work environment. Technical aptitude and desire to learn new skills is essential to this role.
Qualifications You Must Have:
HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 1-year of relevant experience.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Auto body experience preferred Experience working on parts or equipment requiring fine precision and hand manipulation preferred.
