Full Job Description Description:
Welder is responsible for fabricating, fitting, assembling, and welding metal components and structures according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. This role requires proficiency in welding techniques, metal fabrication processes, and the safe operation of fabrication equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, and Stick welding as required. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, welding symbols, and work orders. Measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal components to specification. Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, plasma cutters, drill presses, ironworkers, and related shop equipment. Fabricate and repair metal products, structural components, and custom assemblies. Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with specifications. Maintain accurate measurements and tolerances throughout fabrication projects. Perform layout and fit-up work prior to welding. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and team members regarding project requirements and timelines. Assist with loading, unloading, and material handling as needed.
Requirements:
Qualifications Experience in welding and metal fabrication. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication practices. Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Ability to safely operate fabrication tools and equipment. Strong attention to detail and workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move materials as required. Ability to work in a fabrication shop environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and welding fumes. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Work Environment Fabrication and manufacturing shop environment. Exposure to welding equipment, fabrication machinery, and industrial materials. Compliance with all safety and quality standards is required.
