This position is responsible for welding, fabricating, and installing piping systems for commercial and industrial mechanical projects. Candidates must be highly skilled in pipe welding, able to read blueprints and isometric drawings, and perform quality welds in accordance with project specifications, code requirements, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform pipe welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials as required Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and weld procedures Fit, align, and weld pipe systems for HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and mechanical installations Complete welds using

SMAW, GTAW

(TIG), GMAW (MIG), or FCAW processes as required by project Inspect welds to ensure compliance with quality standards, project specifications, and applicable codes Assist with pipe fabrication, cutting, grinding, beveling, and assembly Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all company safety standards Work collaboratively with pipefitters, foremen, and project managers to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

3+ years of pipe welding experience in commercial or industrial mechanical construction preferred Must hold active welding certifications applicable to pipe welding (AWS, ASME, or equivalent) Must be able to provide proof of current certifications upon hire Ability to pass a project-specific weld test prior to start Proficient in TIG and Stick welding; additional processes are a plus Strong understanding of welding procedures, tolerances, and code compliance Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications Reliable transportation to job sites

Required Certifications:
