TIG Welder Phoenix, AZ Pay Rate:
$24.00 - $35.00 per hour

Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Two-year vocational welding program or equivalent technical training preferred AWS Welding Certification is a plus Experience Requirements Minimum 4 years of professional welding experience Strong TIG welding experience required Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and AWS welding symbols Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, rulers, and squares Knowledge of welding machine setup and operation Basic math and measurement conversion skills Job Duties Perform TIG welding on large and small weldments with tight tolerances Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and fabrication drawings Lay out, fit, tack, and fabricate weldments using fixtures and jigs Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting components Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications Operate welding equipment, grinders, hand tools, and measuring instruments Perform minor maintenance on welding equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements Physical Capabilities Frequently stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and grasp Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs continuously Perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the shift Maintain close visual attention for welding and inspection work Work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
