Solderer Job Description This role focuses on performing precise soldering and electronic assembly work on printed circuit boards (PCBs). You will use hand tools and follow blueprints and work instructions to assemble and solder components, contributing to the production of high-quality electronic products in a structured manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Perform through-hole and surface-mount soldering on printed circuit boards with consistent quality and accuracy. Assemble electronic components and wiring on PCBs according to blueprints, diagrams, and written work instructions. Inspect solder joints and assembled boards visually and, when needed, under a microscope to verify quality and conformance to standards. Handle and position small electronic components carefully to avoid damage during soldering and assembly. Use hand tools and basic assembly equipment safely and correctly during the soldering and wiring process. Follow established manufacturing processes and procedures to maintain an organized and efficient workflow. Work in an organized shop environment, keeping the work area clean, labeled, and free of unnecessary materials. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve assembly or soldering issues and support continuous improvement. Document work as required, including recording part numbers, quantities, and any issues encountered during assembly. Adhere to all safety guidelines and quality standards while working in the manufacturing environment. Essential Skills Hands-on soldering experience on printed circuit boards. Ability to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, or similar technical documentation. Experience with electronic assembly, including placing and securing components on PCBs. Basic wiring skills for electronic assemblies. Ability to perform detailed work with small components and hand tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality solder joints and assemblies. Ability to follow standardized manufacturing procedures and work instructions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Microscope experience for inspecting small components and solder joints is preferred but not required. Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment. Familiarity with organized shop practices, including labeling, inventory awareness, and workstation organization. Ability to work both independently and as part of a production team. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, tools, and quality standards. Why Work Here? Work follows a 9/80 schedule, meaning you work nine days over a two-week period with a longer workday on some days and one extra day off every other week. The setting is production-focused, with standard manufacturing safety practices and procedures in place. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Duarte, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
