COPY LINK link Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a MIG Welder/maintenance job in Chico, CA. This is a great opportunity to work with a wonderfulpany in the local ag industry! This position uses robotic welding cells, MIG / TIG welding, andmon metal working hand tools topletely sub-assemble (tack) and weld fuel tanks and relatedponents from formed sheet metal parts, tubing, and fittings. The finished part will be ready for final testing and washing in preparation for powder coating. Robot - Loads and unloads robot fixturing with previously tacked product, typically fuel tanks and related parts of aluminum coated steel sheet metals of 14 ga. -12 ga. but may include stainless steel and aluminum materials. Uses MIG or TIG welding processes to attach fittings as specified by documentation and mechanical drawings. Inspects robot-welded products and utilizes TIG and MIG processes to repair any cosmetic or functional flaws. Uses stud-welding equipment to weld studs and test stud weld integrity. Pressure tests, repairs any leaks with MIG or TIG processes, and removes weld spatter as dictated by quality requirements. Cleans and changes tips, nozzles, and weld wire. Restarts robot welder after minor problems such as stuck wires, safety barrier violations, etc. Monitors robot welder for process problems including, but not limited to lack of/incorrect gas, wire feed problems, and weld path issues. Communicates and cooperates with Robot Programmer to move weld path when indicated by welding robot results. Tack - Assembles the various sheet and structuralponents that collectively make a fuel tank utilizing MIG short circuit mode welding processes. Verifies that the tank corresponds to the mechanical drawing and welds all internal structures. Places enough tack welds to assure that the tank seams will not widen during the welding process. Repeatedly tacks product in the same manner producing product of repeatable final physical dimensions. Material types are predominately aluminum coated steel sheet metals of 14 ga. -12 ga. but may include stainless steel and aluminum material. Welding - Manually welds previously tacked steel fuel tanks utilizing MIG short circuit and pulsed spray transfer mode welding processes. Reads and interprets mechanical drawings and performs first article quality control check. Sets up, adjusts, and maintains appropriate welding parameters on an assigned welding machine. Welds with sufficient speed and quality to meet TFI production standards and quality standards for cosmetic and non-cosmetic product. Required Knowledge/Skills English Language Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules ofposition, and grammar. Stress Management The ability to effectively manage stress and prioritize tasks is very important at TFI. Critical Thinking The ability to gather relevant data and process this to create sound analysis, judgements, and strategy development. Active Listening The ability to truly understood what is beingmunicated whether that be from colleagues, customers, vendors or other stakeholder, and regardless of the medium be used. Active Learning The ability to seek out new data through reading, writing, discussion, or problem solving that promotes improved analysis, synthesis, and understanding. Minimum Requirements, Education, Certifications and Licenses Must be at least 18 years of age Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings, written instructions, and weld symbology, is a plus. Proficiency in TIG welding and/or certification is preferred. Pay Details:
