Experienced TIG Welder (day and night shifts available)

We are looking for a Welder to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor and based in Fremont, CA . This is a fully on-site role. $3,000 sign-on bonus offered!

Role and Responsibilities:

Read and interpret Work Instruction's to determine specific welding requirements Weld horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions Position and clamps parts together in fixtures Accurately count all pieces to ensure quality control of parts prior to welding Operate welding equipment according to operating manual Complete required paperwork in a correct and timely manner Operate hoist and power lift stand Load and unload jigs Perform leak testing checks on finished welding products Follow Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions exactly as written to produce a quality product Fabricate components for use in a solid oxide fuel cell electrical power generator Maintain all machine shop equipment and 5S upkeep Notify management of shop consumables (i.e. cutting oils, welding gasses, tooling and bits, etc.) in order to maintain inventories Create assembly and fabrication fixtures Address and recommend improved methods for creating hardware and assemblies Perform basic job functions as directed safely and efficiently Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. 1 year required experience in TIG Welding preferred 2-3 years working experience preferred where hands on manufacturing practices were required Required experience in following required work instructions Preferred valid certificate in Welding from an accredited institution Must have mechanical skills and able to use basic shop tools and equipment

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. at a time. Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products as directed. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Could be required to wear a respirator and pass a Fit test.
