Job Description

Overview (Level I,II, and III) Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Welder (2nd Shift), where your expertise will directly contribute to creating high-quality metal components and assemblies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of welding techniques and fabrication processes in a fast-paced environment. You will be instrumental in ensuring precision, safety, and efficiency on the production floor, helping us deliver top-tier products to our customers. If you thrive on hands-on work, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, this position is perfect for you! Welder I Responsibilities Lift, clamp, and tack weld ends of steel strut. Spot weld struts as required by specifications. Utilize drill as required by specifications. Welding of sheet metal type materials as assigned to meet quality requirements Inspect parts to verify specifications meet quality standards while maintaining established production standards. Notifies appropriate personnel of issues. Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual. Maintain awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel. Deburring Studying blueprints and welding specifications Cutting and measuring metal components Using Various Operating Welding Equipment - Mic Preparing and Setting Up welding equipment Maintain good housekeeping and follow established safety procedures Assist other areas of the department as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience Welding Certification and 1+ years of experience in similar setting Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions Bilingual Preferred Ability to interface with a diverse workforce. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively unassisted for an 8-hour shift. Ability to use various tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, dial indicator, and feeler gauges, grinders, cutting tools. Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift. Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts. Welder II Responsibilities Lift, clamp, and tack weld ends of steel strut. Spot weld struts as required by specifications. Utilize drill as required by specifications. Structural welding to meet quality requirements Inspect parts to verify specifications meet quality standards while maintaining established production standards. Notifies appropriate personnel of issues. Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual. Maintain awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel. Deburring Studying, interpreting and working from sketches, blueprints and welding specifications Cutting and measuring metal components Using Various Operating Welding Equipment - Mic and Tig with some Stick Knowledge Setting up welding equipment Preparing Welding Equipment Maintain good housekeeping and follow established safety procedures Assist other areas of the department as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience. ASW Certification and 3+ years of experience in current or similar setting Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions Bilingual preferred Ability interface with a diverse workforce. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively unassisted for an 8-hour shift. Ability to use various tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, dial indicator, and feeler gauges, grinders, cutting tools. Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift. Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts. Welder III Responsibilities Lift, clamp, and tack weld ends of steel strut. Spot weld struts as required by specifications. Utilize drill as required by specifications. Structural welding to meet quality requirements with little to no rework Assist other areas of the department as needed. Inspect parts to verify specifications meet quality standards while maintaining established production standards. Notifies appropriate personnel of issues. Complete production reporting and quality paperwork accurately as required. Maintain good housekeeping and follow established safety procedures. Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual. Maintain awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel. Ability to weld aluminum, stainless steel Deburring Cutting and measuring metal components Using Various Operating Welding Equipment - Mic and Tig with some Stick Knowledge Unassisted use of welding equipment such as torches, plasma cutters and grinders Maintain welding equipment for operation Preparing Welding Equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints independently Additional duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Required ASW Welding Certification and 5+ years of verifiable experience in similar setting Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions Bilingual Preferred Ability to interface with a diverse workforce. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively unassisted for an 8-hour shift. Ability to use various tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, dial indicator, and feeler gauges, grinders, cutting tools. Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift. Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.

From $26.00 per hour
