Welder/Fabricator/Fitter

We are a commercial architectural metals company seeking an experienced full-time welder/fabricator to join our expanding team in Petaluma, CA. The ideal candidate will work in our fabrication shop on current projects as well as additional assignments to include the welding, fitting, and building as required. We are seeking a welder/fabricator who is motivated, takes initiative, and is committed to producing high-quality work. This position is ideal for an experienced welder/fabricator who is motivated to take on new challenges and continue developing their skills.

• Job Requirements:

• Welding using Dual shield welding wire
• Safety conscious use of power tools and machines such as bandsaw, ironworker, drill press, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret shop blueprints and welding symbols
• Strong knowledge of math, specifically working with fractions
• Able to utilize tape measure and take accurate measurements per drawings/assignments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong problem-solving skills
• Minimum 4 years of metal working experience or 1-year accredited welding program graduate
• Must maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license and meet company insurance requirements for operating a company vehicle
• Ability to lift 50 lbs

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Demonstrate a willingness to learn, take on new tasks, and excel as responsibilities evolve
• Report to work on time and maintain a positive, professional attitude
• Prioritize safety with proper personal protective equipment (PPE), ventilation and secured workspace
• Inspect shop equipment before and during use to ensure it is in proper working condition
• Meet deadlines to ensure compliance with the project installation schedule

Shifts Available:

• 7:00am-3:30pm Monday - Friday (Overtime may be available, as needed)

Pay:

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
