Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Vocational training, welding certification, or technical education is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience Requirements Five years of welding experience preferred, or three years of welding experience with certification and relevant coursework Experience with TIG and MIG welding Machine shop experience is a plus Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoists preferred Ability to read and use a tape measure Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications Job Duties Perform TIG, MIG, and other welding processes to fabricate and repair metal products Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and work orders Select welding electrodes and materials to ensure proper weld penetration and fusion Weld in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components Use electric, air, and power tools as needed Scan and track jobs through the Made2Manage (M2M) system Operate plasma cutting equipment as needed Assist with assembly of subassemblies Operate forklifts, electronic pallet jacks, and hoists Provide guidance and work direction to other welders when assigned Perform other duties as assigned Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in welding positions throughout the shift. Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely wear welding helmets, gloves, and required personal protective equipment. Ability to safely work around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and fabrication machinery while following established safety procedures.
