We are looking for a General Helper to join our 3rd shift manufacturing team which will help support our Aerospace business. So, what will you be doing as a General Helper

• 3rd Shift?

To be successful in this role, you'll need: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Assist with the development and setups in the process of forming tubes, pipes, cones, rings, swaging, rounding and straightening, along with the ability to make precise angle sections such as square, rectangle, and other intricate configurations. Assisting with other department's manufacturing needs. Manufacture and/or adapt standard tooling to perform necessary operations. Assist with performing the necessary maintenance on equipment to ensure the equipment is in good working order. Will be responsible for the independent completion of each work assignment but may be assisted by other workers.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• May make necessary layouts on parts, if required, working from shop travelers, engineering drawings, and verbal and written instructions.
• Requires the use of shop trigonometry.
• May calculate blank sizes where necessary to produce parts.
• Works to close tolerance.
• Will train on learning new processes and procedures.
• Self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize workday/projects independently.
• Must be able to lift heavy items, 50 pounds, throughout the shift.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED

High School diploma Experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred

Salary Range:

We are seeking a Combination Welder to perform all manual welding necessary in production, maintenance and tooling as required, using tungsten arc, arc, and oxygen-acetylene processes. So, what will you be doing as a Combination Welder?

• Performs all automatic fusion setup and welding operations.
• Tacks seams and welding tabs on material from .015
• 600.
• Applies aluminum, bronze, and other alloy buildup on dies, mandrels, fixtures, etc.
• Performs such typical arc welding operations as the welding of jigs, fixtures, brake punches, tables, benches, and other miscellaneous maintenance welding as required. To be successful in this role, you'll need:
• Must have the necessary training and background in manual tungsten arc to certify under

specification for welders (manual and automatic).

• Must have the necessary training and background in arc, and oxygen-acetylene processes to be capable of performing the average welding operations for the function to which assigned.
• Must be familiar with various fixtures and accessory tooling necessary to accommodate the wide variety of variables in diameter, wall thickness, lengths, shapes, and alloys of Valley Metal products.
• The ability to determine sequence of operations for welding processes to be used, type of welding rod, gases, tungsten, etc. to produce acceptable sound welds in all applications, and the ability to fabricate welding fixtures (production aids) and to improve exiting tooling as necessary.
• Performs the necessary maintenance work on automatic welders and related tooling to ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize workday/projects independently.
• Minimum 2 years of welding experience.
• High School diploma or GED.

Salary Range:

$23.00 to $26.00 per hour (based on experience)

Work Schedule:

Monday

• Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, full-time, 40 hours a week.
