Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for fabricating and assembling test systems, installing and routing tubing and plumbing, and conducting testing on components and assemblies to ensure functionality and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have experience with welding, fabrication, tube bending, plumbing installation, and mechanical assembly. Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work from drawings and specifications are essential. Duties Fabricate, assemble, and install tubing and plumbing systems for test fixtures and equipment Cut, bend, flare, route, and secure tubing in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications Perform mechanical assembly, installation, and modification of test systems and related equipment Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly Conduct functional testing and troubleshooting of assemblies and systems to verify performance and quality requirements Collect, document, and maintain accurate test and inspection records Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment Basic Qualifications Welding experience (TIG, MIG, or similar processes) Minimum 5 years of experience in fabrication, mechanical assembly, tubing installation, plumbing, or a related field Experience working with tubing systems, including cutting, bending, flaring, routing, and installation Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with metal fabrication and modification of mechanical assemblies Experience operating shop equipment such as tube benders, drill presses, lathes, mills, or other fabrication machinery Familiarity with pressure, pneumatic, hydraulic, or fluid handling systems
