Job Description
C & H Solutions is looking for an experienced Lead Welder to join their diverse operation! The Lead Welder will oversee welding operations, train and mentor the welding team, and support fabrication and design on custom industrial projects. C & H Solutions in Ault, Colorado provides multiple services: solids control, fabrication and welding, trucking, engineering, dirt construction, custom farming and more! Read and interpret detailed blueprints and fabrication drawings to plan processes, job flow, and accurately weld, produce and assemble components Safely and efficiently perform MIG, TIG, and STICK welding, as well as oxygen and plasma cutting Prepare job sites and work areas for welding and fabrication, and assist welders as needed Safely operate a plasma table to produce required components Safely operate hand and power tools, including: grinders, handsaws, mag drills and hand presses Demonstrate resourcefulness, creativity, and problem-solving skills when working through welding and fabrication projects Work closely with the CAD designer to create custom designs Assist with research and development projects Ability to work independently or as part of a two-person team Create, maintain and implement a high level of accuracy, quality, and attention to detail throughout the fabrication and welding process Design and implement weld tests Train employees on welding and cutting on different materials to ensure the team is educated and capable Assist the Welding Manager with job walks and estimates Prioritize multiple projects and manage tasks to completion Dispatch the welding crew daily to meet customer and company deadlines Assist with recruiting for the weld department Safely operate a forklift to load, unload and organize materials at the shop Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop, welding, and parts area Monitor and maintain inventory of welding supplies, materials, and parts The Lead Welder must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, demonstrate strong communication skills, and serve as a hands-on leader who leads by example. They must provide their own welding hood and protective clothing. The ideal applicant would have 10+ years of welding experience. A Structural/Pipe Certified Welding Inspector Certification is preferred but not required. The Lead Welder must have an acceptable driving record as reflected by MVR. The Lead Welder will be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing, as well as a pre-employment physical.Lead Welder :
