Job Description
Your role The Welder I is responsible for permanently joining steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum components together through the application of appropriate welding techniques. This role will be part of the Manufacturing team and report to a Production Manager. Demonstrate best practice approach in the areas of safety, quality, timeliness of delivery, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Familiarization with basic department functions, including cut & prep, bending, and part modification.
- Use of measuring devices including tape measure.
- Follow blueprints to meet product specifications and maintain tight tolerances.
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by job detail.
- Participate in training provided by seasoned employees to learn basic department functions.
- Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety requirements.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous industry experience preferred.
- 1+ year of experience interpreting and following written and verbal work instructions, mechanical and electrical schematics and engineering mechanical drawings.
- Good written and communication skills
- Work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment while following safety and process controls.
- Work with a team and independently.
Salary:
