This position requires expert-level fabrication skills, the ability to produce welds to X-ray quality, and strong proficiency in vessel layout, pipe fit-up, and interpretation of fabrication drawings. Pioneer Energy develops and manufactures proprietary equipment that solves gas processing challenges in the oilfield through the development and deployment of new technology. Focusing on delivering innovations that address complex challenges in the oil and gas industry. We develop and introduce cutting-edge technologies to allow responsible, economical, and reliable operation of both renewable technologies and traditional hydrocarbon extractions. By leveraging creative solutions in both scale and approach, Pioneer Energy solves problems neglected by traditional approaches. The production team at Pioneer Energy is a small team of highly skilled, interdisciplinary individuals in welding, electrical, and HVAC who are passionate about their work. The team is seeking an experienced Welder who is self-driven and hardworking and excited to learn new things.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in pressure vessel fabrication.
- Ability to weld carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe (Sch 40, 80, 160) and structural components to code quality.
- Preform advanced fit-up and welding of pressure vessels, process vessels, tube sheets, process piping and structural components.
- Execute precise layout on vessel shells, heads, nozzles, and complex piping spools.
- Cut, bevel, prep, and fit materials to code tolerances using oxy-acetylene, plasma, and grinding equipment.
- Using FCAW, GMAW and GTAW process to ASME section IX for X-ray quality standards. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve drawing discrepancies or fabrication challenges.
- Must be able to work independently and with a team.
- Conduct visual inspection of welds and verify compliance with WPS requirements.
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promotes a safe work environment.
- Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.

- Operation of an Overhead Crain
- Assisting welders and technicians in the Shop.
- Operation of a bandsaw, power tools, and hand tools.
- Clean up machines and work areas. Physical demands and abilities
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
- Have a good sense of balance.
- Having good eye-hand- foot coordination.
- Ability to work in a varying temperatures, depending on the season.
