Qualifications:
MUST HAVE
real-time experience in fabrication and some welding. Three (3) years or more. Ability to read blueprints, understand layouts, and the means of manufacture. Proficient in set-up and operations of most fabrication equipment: Shears, Press Brake, Angle Rolls, Plate Rolls, Iron Worker, and Saws. Strong understanding of Plasma Cutting, Oxy•Acetylene•Torch Cutting, and carbon-Arc gouging. Functional knowledge of hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, and sanders in the setup and fitting for welding or in finishing of welds. Functional knowledge of welding machine operation, regulating current, and voltage for the proper fusion of metals. Good communication skills in English.
Responsibilities:
Able to work independently with minimum supervision. Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion. Set up and safely operate fabrication and welding equipment. May work with or without fixtures with the attention to detail required in blocking, clamping, or holding parts in relative position to avoid distortion. Report defective materials, unusual conditions, errors, or operational difficulties to the supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting 1•50 lbs. (Occasionally 51-100 lbs.). Pushing & pulling 1-50 lbs. (Occasionally 51-100 lbs.). Repetitive use of hands and feet required (both right & left).
