Job Description

Welder

Windsor, CT 06095
Pay Rate:
$20.15/hr on W2
Shift:
1st shift 8 AM to 5 PM Mon to Fri Welder Duties
  • Prepare the weld joints per instruction in traveler.
  • Perform the weld by manual TIG or CNC TIG welder or EB welder.
  • Weld certain operations on different components.
  • Belt sand preparation of parts.
  • Inspection of tools.
  • Documenting travelers after operations performed.
  • General department housekeeping.
  • Maintain production standards/quality.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
  • Ensures compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment, as required.
  • Performing other tasks in the facility, as needed. Quals

  • Ability to accurately interpret blueprints
  • Ability to accurately interpret work in-process documents
  • Knowledge of welding procedures and processes
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Computer skills required
  • Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability
  • Lean skills continually drives process improvements
  • Team building skills List preferred job related qualifications if different from above.
  • Must be fluent in English, i.e. speaking, reading, writing
  • List the level of education and/or experience needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Certified to WD-001
  • Ability to pass a reading test Ability to speak and listen effectively to follow instructions in English.
