We are currently seeking a Welder/Fabricator based at our Windsor, CT location. What Will You Do? What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be… Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions Perform TIG and MIG welding on a daily basis Reviews blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications to determine appropriate materials, tools, and procedures needed to complete processes Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum and stainless steel Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
• Set up and operation of fabricating machines, such as shears, brakes, rollers, saws, seam welder, plasma cutter and punch press.
• Verifies conformance of work pieces to specification, using square, ruler and measuring tape. Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures Maintain a clean and safe work area Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… Standing, bending, stooping for long periods of time. Walk the production floor. Lift up to 25lbs. Look at computer screen. Your Experience Should Be… High School Diploma or GED equivalent 3 plus years of welding experience.
