Welders in New Castle County, DE. Job Description The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the tools and equipment necessary for welding operations. An understanding of the strength and welding characteristics of various metals is crucial. Additionally, the candidate should be able to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics, and must have skills in recognizing the mechanical functions of moving parts, applying this knowledge effectively in welding projects. Responsibilities Study schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to determine the layout of materials and devise welding plans. Perform TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel Operate portable grinders or scrapers to remove slag and rough spots, ensuring smooth work surfaces. Essential Skills Proficiency in welding, including TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams. Experience with MIG welding and flux core welding is a plus. Additional Skills & Qualifications Completion of an accredited welding program recognized by AWS. At least 1-2 years of welding experience or a technical school graduate with a focus in welding. Why Work Here? Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
