7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Position Summary DuHadaway Tool and Die Shop is seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented GTAW Welder to join our ISO 9001-registered Industrial Turbine Component Repair Division in Newark, Delaware. This position is responsible for welding gas turbine components while maintaining close tolerances and the highest quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Weld gas turbine components using GTAW and other applicable welding processes. Set up fixtures and equipment for various welding operations. Measure components and identify and correct dimensional discrepancies. Accurately complete and maintain required production, inspection, and quality documentation. Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and applicable specifications. Work closely with Production and other departments to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve quality issues. Safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, and other material-handling equipment. Follow established welding procedures, work instructions, and company safety and quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications Qualified candidates must:
Have three to five (3-5) years of experience in GTAW welding of stainless steel and high-nickel alloys. Be able to read and interpret fabrication drawings, engineering prints, and weld symbols. Successfully pass a 6G open-butt X-ray welding test and applicable orbital welding tests. Be proficient with close-tolerance inspection tools, including dial calipers and dial test indicators. Possess strong mechanical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrate a commitment to quality, precision, and accuracy. Communicate effectively and work independently and as part of a team. Be at least 18 years of age. Have a high school diploma or GED. Have a valid driver's license. Successfully pass a pre-employment physical, lift assessment, and drug screening. Physical Requirements Ability to safely lift and handle materials and perform the physical requirements of the position. Manual dexterity to safely perform precision welding and use inspection tools. Ability to safely operate and work around material-handling equipment, including overhead cranes and hoists. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while following all applicable safety procedures.
