Job Description
IMMEDIATELY HIRING QUALIFIED FABRICATION WELDERS
(MIGAND STICK
)IN KERNERSVILLE, NC TYPICAL HOURS
MONDAY - FRIDAY, 7AM-4PM PAY $25-30 PERHOUR + OT
Perform custom fabrication work on heavy equipment, including filtration systems for drilling equipment and body panels for rigs. Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine project requirements, measurements, and fabrication techniques. Set up and operate fabrication equipment such as drill presses, plasma tables, torches, grinders, band saws, and arc gougers. Carry out MIG and Stick welding on steel components, ensuring strong, clean, and structurally sound welds. Measure, cut, shape, and fit metal components according to specifications using appropriate hand tools and equipment. Assemble fabricated parts and structures, verifying proper alignment, fit, and finish before final welding or installation. Inspect workpieces and completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and adherence to project requirements. Perform basic mechanical repair, assembly, and installation tasks related to fabricated components and heavy equipment. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for fabrication, repair, and construction-related tasks. Follow shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Collaborate with shop leadership and team members to plan work, resolve fabrication challenges, and meet project deadlines. Participate in an in-person interview and weld test to demonstrate fabrication and welding proficiency. Essential Skills Proficiency with MIG welding on steel components. Proficiency with Stick welding on steel components. Hands-on experience in custom fabrication work, preferably in custom fabrication shops or on heavy equipment. Ability to operate fabrication equipment including drill presses, plasma tables, torches, grinders, band saws, and arc gougers. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in mechanical assembly and repair. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for fabrication, installation, and construction-related tasks. Comfort working primarily in fabrication rather than production-only welding. Ability to perform a weld test on steel to demonstrate practical welding skills. Reliable attendance and ability to work a full-time day shift schedule. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kernersville, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
