Job Description

Job Title:
Solderer Job Description This role focuses on precision soldering and assembly of electronic components on circuit boards to support final assembly and testing. You will work with surface mount technology and through-hole components, using microscopes and specialized tools to ensure high-quality, reliable electronic assemblies. Responsibilities Install small electronic components onto circuit boards for final assembly and testing. Perform surface mount soldering of circuit boards, including component-level and fine-pitch soldering. Hand-solder electronic parts such as resistors, capacitors, wires, and cable harnesses onto boards. Use a microscope to inspect and verify the quality of solder joints and component placement. Follow electronic manufacturing and assembly procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality output. Conduct visual inspection of assembled boards to identify and correct defects. Collaborate with the production team to meet daily and weekly production goals. Maintain a clean and organized individual workbench, tools, and soldering equipment. Perform rework and repair of boards and components when required, if experienced in rework. Essential Skills Hands-on soldering experience in an electronic manufacturing or electronic assembly environment. Proficiency in surface mount soldering at the component level. Ability to perform fine-pitch soldering on small and densely packed components. Experience soldering electronic parts such as resistors, capacitors, wires, and cable harnesses. Ability to use a microscope to perform detailed soldering and inspection work. Familiarity with surface-mount technology and basic inspection practices. Strong attention to detail and steady hand-eye coordination for precision work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with QFP (Quad Flat Package) soldering. Rework experience on circuit boards and electronic assemblies. Prior experience in electronic manufacturing or production environments. Understanding of basic electronic components and assembly processes. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
