Welder Fitter

Job Description Job Description Craftsmen Contractors is hiring experienced fab shop Structural Welders and Fitters for the Rockledge, Florida area. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, working from day shifts. Seeking Welders with innershield welding experience - flux cored wire without inert gas, and instead contains a powder filling arc stabilizer in a small metal tube. This powder consists of alloying elements and arc stabilizers, allowing it to generate an arc without the use of insert gas. Seeking experienced fab shop Structural Welders. Will need to pass a weld test or fit test before starting. Pay rate to be determined based on how you do on the weld/fit test. No per diem is offered.

Job Duties:

Perform welding and fitting tasks according to specifications and blueprints Utilize various welding techniques to join metal components Build and assemble metal structures. Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces Conduct inspections to ensure welds meet quality standards Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Job Requirements:

Welders and Fitters need to have at least 2 years of fab shop experience Innershield welding experience is a major plus. Proficient in welding techniques. Will need to interview and pass a weld test before starting. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong knowledge of basic math for measurements and calculations Experience with pipe threading and soldering is a plus Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail Ability to work independently or as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise If you meet the above requirements and are available and interested, please respond to this job ad with your resume.
