In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality components and assemblies by utilizing a variety of welding and fabrication techniques. Your expertise will ensure that projects meet strict safety standards, adhere to technical specifications, and are completed efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction and manufacturing projects, contributing your mechanical knowledge and fabrication skills to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately guide welding and assembly processes. Perform welding using various methods including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), mainly on aluminum. Measure, mark, cut, and shape sheet metal and other metal materials using power tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and hand tools. Fabricate metal components by welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and assembling parts with precision. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math skills, and other measuring devices to ensure dimensional accuracy. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures during fabrication activities on construction sites or in the shop. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. Skills Extensive experience with construction site fabrication activities and metalworking processes. Must have a min of 3 years fabricating and experience with aluminum Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG and gas metal arc welding. Strong ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, ASME codes & standards, and mechanical blueprints for accurate fabrication. Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math calculations, and other measuring tools for precise work. Mechanical knowledge of assembly processes and the ability to operate power tools safely and effectively. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and understanding of metal materials used in construction projects. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret mechanical blueprints for fabrication tasks. Familiarity with plasma cutting, machining operations, welding safety protocols, and fabrication shop procedures. Knowledge of construction site safety practices along with adherence to OSHA regulations or equivalent safety standards. Join our team if you're passionate about metal fabrication and welding!
